Ashok Karki, Morong
In 2002 Ashok from Morong, Nepal was born with a congenital fibula fracture that had gone untreated until the age of 8. Due to his family's very low economic condition, medical treatment was not an option. His parents are farmers, tending to the small amount of land in which they own.Ashok finally received the corrective surgery needed in 2009, to heal his congenital deformity.
